Quality Web Hosting at Introductory Prices – Any Recommendations?
Advice Needed
I am days away from hosting expiration, and the cost is too high to justify right now. Hostmonster.com is a great hosting company with whom I’ve been with for many years, however the renewal prices seem to have gone up a lot. Maybe I was on a long introductory period but it is almost twenty dollars times six months and that amount is out of the question.
Primary Goals of New Hosting Provider:
- Move two domains (one site and two blogs) including the MySQL databases and data. Looking for FULL SERVICE transfer so that the blogs and sites work upon transfer.

2. Introductory Rate for 6 months minimum – and reasonable renewal costs.
3. Windows based preferred IF the WordPress blogs and PHP will work otherwise UNIX based is fine.
4. Good Customer Service
5. Reliable Service – I’ve been with Hostmonster for many years so am looking for a long term relationship.
Timeframe – By Feb, 2011 – My hostmonster hosting expires on or around Feb 3, 2011 (after a one month extension) so I need to have all domains transferred by then or with as few down days as possible.
Any suggestions welcomed. I added a donate button, any donations appreciated but not expected. It’s not my style to ask for help and after giving Wikipedia a hard time it feels worse. But no guilt trip, or sad pictures of me, if you like the site and can spare a few bucks then I won’t forget it.
